Explaining DEATH, particularly how to communicate these concepts to children is the topic for this week’s sharing. The discussion emphasizes the importance of understanding a child's perspective and feelings about loss, the sensitivity of children to spiritual matters, and the significance of allowing them to express their own insights. The conversation also touches on the idea of past lives and the spiritual journey of pets, encouraging a thoughtful and open approach to discussing these topics with young minds.

"We never die; we continue on as energy."  What about pets?  As a result of an audience question about the passing on of pets, Teresa and Tom have a conversation about transition, and explore positive approaches to communicate that fact to children. They  emphasize the importance of spiritual sensitivity, soul to soul respect, and simplicity in one's response to young one's questions.

"Out of the mouth of babes comes wisdom."  The conversation also touches on children's innate spiritual wisdom, noting some share connections to past lives, and the significance of guiding them to trust themselves, rather than passing on "dogma" around personal spiritual beliefs.

Some "Kids remember their past lives."  The speakers discuss on the journey of pets and the spiritual connections we share with them, concluding with a reminder to embrace enthusiasm in our unique spiritual journeys.

  • There's a bigger spiritual picture of being a soul.  We never die; we continue on as energy.
  • Children often possess spiritual wisdom about past lives.  Children are often sensitive and can see spirits.
  • It's important to communicate simply with children with respect and help them nurture their inner wisdom.
  • Allow children to explore their spiritual awareness.  And, reinforce their confidence to get their own answers.
  • Rather than tell, ask children how they feel about spiritual topics they bring

So I had a question come up this week about around death. Okay. And so I really wanted to do an episode on when people understand that there's a bigger spiritual picture of being a soul in a physical body and all that kind of stuff. And say you had a young child who asked you about that. Okay. What would you consider saying to this person, this little child? The first thing that I would say is how do you feel about that?

What do you feel is the situation? Because all these young children are talking about past lives and seem to have spiritual wisdom. I remember I did as a child and then of course we were told, no, no, no, that's not the way it is and that kind of thing. And they started feeding me the dogma. But I would encourage them to tune into their feelings and ask.

How do you feel about that? You know, not from an emotional point of view, but more from a, you know, what do you feel the answer is? And then maybe offer. Well, for me, it feels like, you know, we go on and we continue on and things like that. Right. Like how we say we never die and we never die and we, know, are forever forever a energy being. Yeah, I think the talk to them as if they're

more mature, as opposed to, talking down to them or in a funny little voice or, you know, catering to their, their, catering to them. It always strikes me when you talk to, younger, you know, older souls and younger bodies more directly, you know, you have to, you have to talk a little more simply. They, they appreciate it. Yeah. It's interesting. Cause I was.

when I had someone ask me this question, they had a pet pass away and then they said, you know, hey, just was just curious, what would you say when, you know, the child was like, what's going on? And, and so I just kind of looked on YouTube and found some videos and I found some really interesting ones from, people who work with hospice, so hospice nurses. And this one had a really great video. And she said that the one thing to keep in mind with children is that they can only

understand so much. And so I thought that was a really, a really good thing to consider the fact that, you know, like, you can't, there's only so many things they've put together for themselves that you know, you can explain so much, but then they just don't understand because they're just at that space where it's not been brought into their realm. But I hear what you're saying as far as, know, but you can also keep it simple and yet, and just be straightforward with them. Yes. Versus, you know, trying to make

weird, say weird things or, you know, or go off the deep end about, know, the spiritual aspect of it when it's like, don't probably even give a crap about that. Like they just want to know why did, why did Muffy or why did, you know, Buster the dog die and Muffy. we're so, what would you, what do you feel the appropriate response would be? So that's just my, you know, my feeling is

That's my, you know, an angle on how to work with it. What would you, what's your first impression of how to work with it? Yeah. Well, my first impression would be that is especially where I'm at nowadays. If there was, if I was working with a small child, I would just share with them that, know, that we are energy in a, in a, in our bodies and that we, we never die, but, our bodies do, go away. And so that's what happened with Muffy and Buster. They,

They left their bodies, but their energy and their aura, soul, whatever I'd want to say, lives on. Yeah. And so we just leave it at that. And if they have any more questions. But what strikes me is out of the mouth of babes.

you know, that old expression, you know, can come some wisdom and they'll say these things. go, holy smokes, you're sensitive. You already know this. Or they see spirits or they see the deceased person or whatever, right? Yeah. And that happens all the time. Like recently when Charlie Kirk passed away, I was watching, what's her name? Megan Kelly. Yeah. Yeah. I just, I just saw a little video from Megan Kelly and she said,

that she was contemplating something about Charlie and that her little daughter said something like, well, he knows that. Yeah, that was, I heard that. I heard that as well. And I went, oh, yeah, that's the... they do. They do. The little children are so sensitive. And they're like, yeah, well, duh, he knows that. And then over time they get talked out of their sensitivity, you know, and I saw something in the news that was interesting.

which was, and I haven't looked into it, but it was on that topic of how children remember their past lives. And apparently there's this five-year-old in the UK that says he was John Lennon, or he said, that's a picture of me when I was famous. No way. Yeah, and he apparently, according to this little article I saw on the internet, and I...

But it's consistent with the sorts of things that we've heard when psychiatrists have actually studied children that apparently remember past lives. And so we've watched some episodes of television shows on that and we've also watched some YouTube videos. So apparently he knew these uncanny, uncannily knew some things about the Beatles and that sort of thing. So...

It just struck me that, yeah, so mean, this thing keeps happening and, know, often the, the folks who've studied these things say that, you know, they get kids get to a certain age or the younger people get to a certain age and they stop, you know, they sort of stop remembering, you know, and that's when their intellect starts to get programmed and so forth that these things don't exist or, know, they start overthinking them, you know, from the environment, but

But many people, we noticed on some of those episodes, they allow the children to have their insight into their previous incarnations and they kind of support them as they reconcile something they needed to reconcile. Yeah, I think that's a really important point is that these days, now there's so much information, there's so much awareness, there's so many people

that it, you know, talking about, you know, spiritual aspects of, know, of people that have passed on as, as well as, you know, our energy and the gifts we have and our psychic abilities and all kinds of things that in speaking to a young, a young person, that awareness that the, the parent has or the grandparent has, or whoever's, you know, involved in, in, you know, conversing with the young ones, they're going to pick up on that. Yeah. The

The pitfall that spirits reminding me of as you were sharing is that when I'm sharing with a younger person, it's important that I just don't, you know, automatically want to pass on my dogma. And, you know, it's easy if a person was highly religious, they're going to do it anyway. But they're, they're going to imprint their concepts, you know, on that young person. But I think a lot of times people who

you know, have that experience that there's things that are more mystical or metaphysical, you know, they experience the mystical or the metaphysical or whatever, which is actually just normal. They can have a religious bent towards their spiritual understanding. So again, it's important that

As I work with people and that's okay. I mean, like we all have concepts that help us operate here on planet earth and a framework we can work with to keep us, you know, moving forward. But when I'm working with younger people or anyone really is how do you feel about that? What is your inner knowing? You know, because often people ask you because they want you to back up what they're already, you know, picking up and discerning. Yeah. Especially if it's someone that we're not really

that close to that maybe we don't really know where they're coming from. For myself, I noticed that I, for years I would just blah, like me, was vomit everywhere, all the stuff I knew and for you to know it too. And now I'm like, no, I just, I only share when, it's the right timing. I share when someone asks me a question. And I know I've said that on a recent episode also with on the souls that I brought in and how I, you know, I don't put my stuff on them like I used to.

But because I mean, I can do it as I did it as much as a religious person did, right? Like all the things I knew and all the things I was experiencing, I would come home and, you know, and share freely. And they were like, what the hell is she talking about? So I've, you know, I've learned and I'm much more wiser now to just allow people to be where they're at. And I think that goes back to, you know, the little children, like, you know, they're very open, they're very aware, they're, they're connected to spirit, to source.

you know, much more freely than a lot of adults are. And so just in recognizing, okay, so how much does this little person know? And then what do I want to share? And even working with guidance, right? Like figuring out, okay, so what's the word that I really need to work with this young person? What's the key that I need to share with this young person at this moment in time for them to understand what they're going through? That's as you were sharing, guidance was reminding me or spirit was reminding me that, you know,

That's how I know when to share and when not to share and how much. you know, I'm always willing to be of service to help somebody like really connect the dots or have that aha moment that helps them move in their direction towards that self discovery. But the power, it's easy when I work with spirit, you know, and spirit will bring people to me for me to share with occasionally. But, you know, they're not going to help me control others.

or dominate, that's when spirit moves out and something else might move in. Some confused energies that want you to do that. So, but you know, we're all doing the best we know how and it's kind of a step at a time progression and awareness. You know, we have to unlearn some things we picked up along the way, either in our first seven years or even over lifetimes, you know, we're

or kind of helping to refine those areas of those habits so I have more awareness, so I feel more secure. I mean, it strikes me as I move through my life, even at the mature age that I am, that, wow, know, some of the same little fears can pop in when I'm faced with those situations again, but I can move through them more quickly, or I have a way of working with my guidance in myself.

that allows me to regroup it quicker so I can really move that out, know, move that, you know, pattern of self judgment or self doubt, or, you know, one of the things that's been going on for me is, like, yeah, forget thinking about what I could, especially as you get older, you know, I've noticed that this comes in, it's like, should have done this and I should have done that. You know, this would have been really, it's what would I do differently next time? Now that, you know, I have the awareness that I have.

and

you know, how do I create now what I'd like to have or instead of worrying about what I did or didn't do, it's more like, okay, now how do I, what's the best thing I can create from that, put my energy towards moving forward, then putting energy into, you know, that overthinking the past. Yeah, so that's an, that's a good place to end this, I think is just, yeah, I feel that it's just, you know, an opportunity to

Again, like I said, connect with, you know, a young, if someone's asking you, that's a young person, how to know how to explain the death process and energetically as far as, know, in a spiritual, spiritual way. Teresa, where does Muffy go when Muffy and Buster, they go along the rainbow bridge. You know about the rainbow bridge? Yes. That's what they call animals go along the rainbow bridge to the other side. Yeah. I mean, I've, I've heard that,

It seems true to me, you my feelings that there's a different stage of development for the animal. But in a sense, they're still our brothers and sisters, you know, from that energy perspective. And it's a different that always seemed true to me when I would hear that kind of thing. And so, but, know, they're free, you know, like if I've had some favorite

pets, dogs, horses, and even cats when we were younger, but they're free. As far as I'm concerned, it'd be great to see them, quote, on the other side someday. But on the other hand, if they want to reincarnate and be somebody else's pet or move through whatever the animal stage is, I'm not really that clear on all that. And I don't really care. I mean, it's not of interest to me to the point that I'm going to...

really delve into that with my guidance. have enough of my plate for myself. So thanks for listening into another episode of Enthusiastically Spiritual. We hope you might have got a little insight today on Pat when animals and things pass over and ways to speak to the young youngins out there and or other people that may not understand exactly how you understand the spiritual part of who we are in our physical bodies. So until next week, just remember that.

Life is too short to not be enthusiastic about your unique journey.
