The summer series, we are back with spiritual perspectives and hey guys, ready for another week? man, I'm loving it. is ⁓ the summer couldn't come early enough and the fact that we're moving into all these points and these series that we're doing, it's pretty cool. I'm enjoying it. How about you, Tom? I'm certainly ready for summer. I'm ready for action. I'm ready for lots of fun and

to hear what my colleagues have to say in terms of spiritual perspective. And to our sisters and brothers in Australia and New Zealand, the Southern Hemisphere will send you a little bottle of warmth. For the cool times down there. Yeah, and so I thought it would be interesting today if we talk about the word freedom. So a lot of times we're talking about spiritual perspectives on a lot of different variations of news stories that are out there.

And the thing that as souls, we're all truly striving for whether or not you can feel this or not is freedom. Yeah. I mean, ⁓ what I get out of that immediately is just coming back home to that bigger picture of, freedom is innate. No one has to teach me that. Right. I mean, I, I, instantly, we, I instantly know the difference between freedom.

or the feelings of bondage, like I, that is like innate babies know immediately what, know, when they're feeling oppressed. So what that comes down to me, and I know we're, you're bringing that up because, you know, in the America, they have their independence day, which is the 4th of July. And, ⁓ you know, that's really Americans are into that, you know, the freedom, you know, ⁓ but the thing that really

comes to me with that is how that is my great barometer of how I'm doing. That is the ultimate barometer of how I'm doing. And it's like my true feelings. So when any I'm doing anything out there, I can get a sense for how well I'm doing personally, with how free I feel. Well, what strikes me about that is that

there's a lot of intellectual interpretations of freedom. So, you know, one person might decide that, I'm not free because you're not taking care of me or I'm not free because you have this rule. But really, ⁓ my insight is that I'm always free to feel how I want to feel or become more aware of my true feelings as a soul.

So I'll give you an example. was reading something about giving with hooks and giving without hooks. And you know, that's something you'll hear people, spiritual people say a lot, you know, it's like, well, it's really good to give without hooks. And, and it's good to give, you know, but often people give with hooks. you know, and giving with hooks is I'll give you this because I have an expectation and I'm going to set up an obligation kind of a thing.

Well, where I have spiritual freedom or where I have the freedom is one, I can accept gifts freely from others where I don't feel obligated to them. Number one. Number two, I can give freely without hooks so that I don't create an obligation or an expectation. And what that really means to me is I feel free inside and I feel that the

fulfillment in that inner joy of giving. So the actual physical act, you know, I can interpret one way or another, but nobody can really ⁓ change how I feel inside. That's where my spiritual freedom is. To me, that's probably one of the best examples of what our work is, is to help ourselves and each other rediscover that internal freedom or inner freedom. Yeah, I feel about that.

Yeah, I feel good about that time. feel good. Freedom feels good. feels good. Well, it's interesting because as you know, we're all about looking at the news stories and kind of what's going on in a bigger picture and bringing forth that spiritual aspects of it in the sense of how I feel about things that I'm watching or viewing or experiencing or hearing from other people, these stories and things. So lately I've been watching things on Netflix and

A couple of them. One was about this rapper who had a big, ⁓ who put together a big like what do want to call it ⁓ event down in down in Texas. And he did it two times. And a third time, a lot of people got hurt and affected and got trampled and some people died. And when I was watching that, I felt very, I didn't feel free. Put it that way. I felt very restricted. I actually was kind of picking up and feeling what

what was going on as I was, as they were experiencing it was really kind of interesting. So the reason why I'm sharing that is in the sense that whenever we are viewing or experiencing or listening to or tuning into stories out in the world, whether it be Netflix or ABC, NBC, Fox, or whatever it is that, know, however you get your news ad or your information.

That feeling of not being free can be very prevalent. And it was for me. And so that was one event recently that I experienced and I was like, wow, I felt very stifled. I didn't feel free. I felt very in bondage. And so ⁓ I didn't like it very much. Yeah. Well, the, what you've stimulated for me, ⁓ I'd like to hear your impressions on it. Two things. One is some people are afraid of freedom.

They're afraid of that, how much power and freedom they actually have. And then the other thing is the classic line, at least Americans talk about this is the price of freedom is eternal vigilance. That I have to, I have to have a bit of leadership in me in order to maintain my freedom. Otherwise I'm not going to feel, I'm going to feel that the, resistance of everything rather than.

moving beyond it. So those are the two things that kind of pop out to me is I've we've said it on other podcasts, but you know, people are afraid of freedom. They're they're actually afraid and I think it's more because they're afraid of their power. I know it's happened to me. But the other thing is if I'm going to be free, I have to have the vigilance to stay free and be free. Because your point Tom is that if

I'm living on planet earth. I'm going to have, and I'm not going to, if I'm not going to be in a jungle, right. And even then there's rules, right. The jungle has rules, right. You'd have figured out real quick, but if I'm going to be with people, there's going to end up being societal rules at some level, depending on which society I'm in. So immediately I'm going to have to deal with that. So how free do I want to be?

working in and out of those things rather than just trying to rebel all the time. Well, conforming to me is just being aware of where my rights begin and end and where someone else's rights begin and end. And it's just that simple, but there's a lot of confusion around conforming. And again, all our arguments are usually around the intellectual interpretation of something rather than the freedom. And I guess I have the freedom. The other thought that comes to me is

You know, I have the freedom to feel free. It's okay. I don't have to accept that I've got to suffer through something or, you know, I give without hooks because I'm supposed to, you know, or I feel obligated because I'm supposed to feel obligated. You know, the truth is, is I don't have to feel it. However, there's times when I have to play the game.

And sometimes conforming is a little bit like that too, for me, is that I play the game because that's where folks are at, or I accept that other people are going to want to feel obligated. However, you know, I don't have to buy into it internally in my inner, in my inner self. What strikes me is if I feel that way that radiates out. Right? Yeah. And that radiation.

which, radiation, the sun, radiation. The positive radiation. With that fear of freedom, that inspires a lot of people to come together and to all have the fear of freedom. And we've seen that in the last few, I'll say elections, where someone's scared of that side and then someone's scared of that side. And then as a collective, we are scared of what's gonna happen.

And it just stimulates and it just really percolates until it gets to a boiling point, but they're all together in a pot. So I think it's interesting that what came to my mind too, when you're talking about fear of freedom is it's also goes back to the fear of really understanding you as a spiritual being and what the power you have within you, which goes back to freedom. Because if we understand as a soul, the power we have, the ability to work with our

our personal support team, the ability that we never die, we just transition between one experience and next experience. That is true freedom in my mind. But there are many people that are at different levels of consciousness and have the ability to be here to work with that fear of freedom. That inability to really go there and that's...

that's where they're at and it's okay because how many lifetimes ago or whenever we were there too. And we've just put together enough for ourselves and our souls that we're in this place right now where we can share how important freedom is to us. Okay, so I mentioned to you in the green room that I had something I was gonna spring on you guys. Okay. And to you. Now some of you I know have worked with me or work with us.

and different things you'll, this is going to be familiar to you, but it's something I picked up to bring up. So one of the big deals in, at least for the Americans is they talk about the declaration of independence, right? That was kind of the first salvo to say, okay, you know, we don't want to be ruled by you, right? We're declaring our independence. So one of the things I want to just share on this particular podcast real quick is

our spiritual declaration of independence, signing our own spiritual declaration of independence and what that means. And when I say spiritual, everybody that in the dictionary, they talk about the distinction of spiritual and material, basically spiritual, at least from a definition perspective is things that are non material, right? Something that's not tangible, like the flesh.

is material, but then how I think or how I feel and how something that radiates from me, that would be considered spiritual. So it's not just a religious idea or something ethereal. It's something that's a non material. So the spirit of, right? The spirit of. If I say you are going to make your own spiritual, your declaration of spiritual independence, your own.

what comes to you to go forward.

I have, as I say that, you know, to be happy and free to be in my spiritual thrust for this lifetime. I have to claim it. have to establish that no matter what's going on, I have the right, the inner right, the Bill of Rights within myself to feel happy and free and to be happy and free as I go through an experience.

And really the thing that strikes me right now is that to do that without judging myself, as long as if I keep judging myself or overthinking about, I made this mistake, I know I'm kind of caught in a, I'm getting caught up in the competition game in an unhealthy way. If I'm competing from that pivot point of

being happy and free of feeling that feeling of staying relaxed. The odd thing is, is usually I am more successful when I work from that point of view in the material world as well as the spiritual world. So what I hear you saying is that you are your first one or your first part of your, your spiritual constitution would be to work with your spiritual thrust. That's right. To be in the flow of my thrust. And I was thinking about that word pivot point, you know, we've

we've often talked about that over the years or our mentor would always bring up, you pivot your pivot point. And in a way, it's like a positive anchor, and it's got flexibility. It's whereas if I'm caught up in my intellect, it's, there's no relief there. It, you know, and it becomes an emotional game roller coaster rather than because I have concepts about what's free or what's not free.

I mean, I've lived long enough this lifetime that I just recognize, wow, laws change. You know, when I was in high school and college, know, marijuana was illegal big time, you know, so now you can buy it at a store and people are talking about gummies this and gummies that, and I'm not involved in any of that, but it blows my mind that, you know, what was things change and, ⁓ but what never changes is my inner pivot point.

that which is coming from my true feelings. If I get caught in my emotions, I know that's time to take a look at what are my true feelings and how am I how can I get back to that, that feeling of inner freedom and inner justice, you know, you might say, I used to think it was a bit of a cop out when we said, Well, you know, I have freedom, but you know, really, we're talking about inner freedom, like, however,

I'm realizing more and more spiritually that as I feel that that's what emanates out, that's where I find myself. And I can, I can move through particularly in our culture, we really do have a lot of freedom to be who we feel we need to be. Yeah. And so I would take that also spiritual thrust would be on mine for sure. And then I guess part of mine would also be that I am never alone.

that I always have ⁓ a team of spiritual support behind me and master souls that guide me and are always at my, I'll say back and call, you know, I do my 50%. They do their 50%. So that would be a big, one of my big highlights of, ⁓ my spiritual constitution would be that I have, I'm never alone and I always have support. What about you, Tiger? I'm very similar, very similar in that it's going to be about my inner.

and radiating that out all the time. ⁓ Acceptance, acceptance for people and where they're at, acceptance for where I'm at. But also the, the claiming thing was what I was going to go there to that energy of, of claiming my freedom, claiming my energy. And is this how I want to feel? No, I don't want to feel like that. I want to feel like this. Okay. Then I'm going to go do that, you know, because I can't

control people because I don't want to be controlled either. So I might be a hypocrite if I say, well, I'm going to be free and then I'm not going to let you be free kind of thing. So that means I, my level of acceptance needs to go up. My, my, my ability to, ⁓ claim my power needs to go up and give space to other people to do that. Right. That that's that, that energy.

It says, opened up with that, giving with, with hooks or giving without hooks, you know, that's a real distinction. Right. And cause that, if I say to myself, I'm not going to give with hooks that requires a different set of concepts to work with. And that might be different than what the radio and the TV and the YouTube and all that stuff tells me to do. Right. Meaning I'm going against the grain of that. So that's just something I need to be aware of. So.

I think the going forward on my spiritual declaration of independence, it's going to be all about acceptance. It's going to be about thrust. think we all shared that. My personal spiritual thoughts, how I want to express myself and then the freer movement in going toward abundance, the freer movement in relationships, the freer movement into working with people personally and spiritually and all of that.

I would say that would be my declaration of independence for this year. And if I may, if you're listening to this, I would say just like we did, I would suggest you do that now because there's a lot of extra energy for it. So what is your spiritual declaration of independence? What, write it down, write it down. What do you want to do this year to be more free?

Sounds good. Sounds great. I feel free with that one. Well, you know, what strikes me is that it's always okay to play the game. Yep. You know, in society and that when, ⁓ you know, like you say, in the environment, people have an expectation that you give with hooks, or it's tit for tat. And sometimes in business, that's what it's about. It's a fair energy exchange, I give you this, and you provide me that it's, it's all okay. But

What I'm talking about is if I'm in that situation playing that game, I know that I can still feel free and I can still be happy. I know I'm just playing the game. Yeah. And for myself and kind of winding this up, it is that it's not buying into others lack of freedom that they may feel. ⁓ that's a good one. Especially when we're when we are, I are watching or listening to

news out in the world, stories other people have, life experiences and things that people are going through that I truly don't need to buy into. And it's for myself, it's good to be aware of what's going on and where people are at. And that's what I've really gotten in from going back to a muggle job since last August is the fact that, wow, I.

see, I sense I feel where people are at. And honestly, it's given me more compassion. And also it's given me more inner freedom to know that where I'm at, and where others are at, and, and how can I, you know, support and back the situations that I'm involved in, but not buying into others lack of freedom. That's it. And I think having that respect for wherever their state of consciousness is, is allow them to go through their

you know, learning experiences, we were talking about saving earlier in the day in another situation and podcasts, and this comes up a lot. But, you know, it's okay if they have a concept that's not serving them, let them go through that experience. If they asked for help, great. I'll share my perspective. But when people aren't ready, they're not ready. I mean, they'll nod their heads. Yes, like they understand what you're saying. And maybe paired it back to you.

And then weeks later they go, you know, I just realized this and that's the difference between being a do-gooder or being a way shower. Well said. Another thing I heard recently too, is that in relation to where I'm at or where we're at, as far as on our journeys, always remember that other people have not put together the steps that we've taken on our individual unique journeys is we're all

doing the best we can while we're here. But we really want to emphasize that we're trying to come back to feeling of freedom within. If you could see yourself as a soul, you'd see tingly lines of energy. And we have that in some of our materials. I just read that recently, because why I recognize habit patterns or things that people like, you know, you'll talk to a good friend of yours, you go, boy, they're heading for the roadblock, or they're heading for the brick wall. How do I save them from that?

Really, that's I recognize those things because I have the experience I've already been through it. I guess the other and probably my final comment is, you know, my true feelings that inner feeling that I have is what's always going to guide me first. And then I can work with my spiritual helpers or guides to recheck, you know, when's the time to move in and when's the time to move out. My true feelings is the compass. That's where I'm pivoted from. That's the rudder in the water.

rather than in my intellect. Go Tom in his freedom. How about you, Tiger? Yeah, my wrap up would be that I'm perfect for what I come to do. I don't have to change some big external thing on me. I'm perfect. My makeup is perfect for what I come to do warts and all and I can improve. But the truth is, is what I've come to do.

It's it's in perfection and I'm messing with perfection when I try to fix myself rather than try to, ⁓ just work with what's there and improve it, work with the situation that I'm in and just improve it. If I'm trying to fix it, I'm trying to make, I'm trying to change the perfection already. And, ⁓ the, the last thing I'd say is that.

That same energy of that, that vigilance, I need to have vigilance and I just need to remember that I can do anything. You can do anything. As long as I remember there may be consequences to what I do. I am free to do anything. Now I don't have to leave the house. I don't have to leave anything right this moment to feel that power. I could do absolutely.

anything. And I know there's consequences to everything. In other words, there's no free lunch. That feeling right there, that feeling sitting down, I have the power, I can to do anything. might be consequences, but I can do it. That's freedom. If I let myself sit there in that space just for a minute and then write my declaration, then I can maneuver society after that. Well, I'll play the game. It's in my best interest.

I think you need to make a t-shirt on that. I can do it. Thank you all for watching and listening into another episode of Spiritual Perspective Discerning News, our summer series. We hope that you may have gained some insights for yourself on how to capture a bit more of that feeling of freedom from within, no matter what's going on in the news, out in the world, or people you might love close by. So cheers, we'll see you all next week.
