levels of consciousness. I'm ready to chat a little bit today in this new season and our sixth year of podcasting. Hey, Tom, how you doing? 123456. seasons. Six seasons. No, hard to believe. this really the sixth season? It's the sixth year. I mean, I don't know. You it's funny because it's you call it the sixth season because we've been you're calling it season five. Oh, and now it's six years ago. Was it six years ago?
It was five years ago, we're moving into the sixth year. yeah. And so within all this timeframe, we've done quite a few interviews, quite a few ⁓ solo episodes, a spiritual businessman. And over the last couple of years, we've also been doing classes and some of our classes recently, the intuition now classes, there's been some questions and some thoughts about different things that we share. And one of them is about the
Semi-intellectual the feeling our true feelings the levels Emotions the levels of consciousness So I thought today would be a good time to dive a bit into the levels of consciousness Sounds good to me Yeah, so there are actually three levels of consciousness that exist at any time one is the balanced state and When you are balanced your feelings are the source of your inspiration and your intellect Organizes whatever you feel so that way you can move into action
Well said. Number two is known as the semi intellectual. This is when you are reading only half the book of life, the intellectual half. This is when you are leaving out your feeling part. And then the third one is known as the unbalanced feeling. This is when you are only working with the other half of the book of life. It is when you are leaving out your thinking part. So I know for myself, as I've moved back into the
a muggle job, the workplace, I recognized from all that I've learned the last couple years when you being in my feelings being in my intellect that a lot of people move from their intellect. So I want to talk a little bit today about how to balance out and stay in balance. So what do you think? And how do you work with the levels of consciousness, Tom? Well, I find that we can move in and out of these different levels at any different time, you know, different times. So
I've experienced being in balance. And I noticed that when I'm in balance, when I'm using my feelings as my source of information, or I'm tuning into my feelings for my source of inspiration, that's what I said information is inspiration, then I organize my feelings and you know, move forward. So whatever motivates me where I'm inspired is comes from my true feelings. ⁓ And my emotions are different than my true feelings.
My emotions are like feelings I've been taught to feel or reactions that I have, ⁓ you know, based on our sort of physical body, intellectual instincts, you know, like certain fears, you know, to keep us alive and keep the body alive. So, ⁓ anyway, I recognize when I've been in balance, I found that when I'm in that, ⁓ in balance, things just kind of fall into place like clockwork doors open, you know,
I know I feel relaxed and I feel secure. And not only do I accomplish something, but I have that fulfillment that goes along with that accomplishment. Yeah. And I also recognize that we pick up a lot of things from our first seven years, the environment and the people that were around in those years. And of course, you know, beyond those years, but the first seven years are really the, the set in stone kind of foundational.
years and when we're really truly in our real feelings, we come back in as just a feeling being. And then we're around people that are stimulated, that are tired, are that are maybe working really hard that are stressed that have all these things going on within themselves that may get put onto a little baby or a little soul. Yeah, well, we essentially we copy our parents, you know, we notice how they react to things.
or whether they respond to things. So if I'm responding to life, I'm usually working more from my feelings than organizing my response than following through with action. If I'm reacting to things, then that's when it feels like I'm under pressure, know, things hurt, you know, those emotions are not. ⁓ Or even if I'm over sort of exuberant, that can be an emotional thing rather than more of a true feeling thing, which is more of a
kind of a steady flow of positive movement would be one way I would describe it. But everybody's doing the best they can, but our parents pass along concepts, habits and attitudes that they've had, that they picked up from their parents or whoever raised them, and the environment, where our culture is and what people are like in Iowa or New York City or whatever.
And so you might say those are like thought habits. And if I go back to my, if I'm, if I'm thinking, you know, too much, then I'm just not tuning into what I'm feeling, or I'm just accepting what I'm thinking, you know, so if I want to make life hard, then, you know, I'll leave either the intellect part, the organization to what I'm feeling, or the discernment, or I'll leave out the feeling part.
and just make it all, you know, an intellectual game. Yeah. And I feel that a lot of, feel, how about that? A lot of the challenges that we all have here on the planet and in this environment and in this realm that we're in is that we're here obviously to be in balance, but oftentimes we learn so much intellectually.
that it's hard to then come back to our feelings or our feelings get squashed. Like I've heard many people say, know, yeah, I just pushed those feelings down and don't want to feel it. And it's like, you know, how do we get a good balance while we're here? And that's really part of our individual journeys, our individual, you know, where are you at in these levels of consciousness? And I think that's what I hear you saying, Tom, is that in recognizing and other people and just honoring where everyone's at.
It's okay, because we're all at learning levels. But trying to figure out how to stay in balance and how to have my intellect, which I need because I need to understand what I'm doing while I'm here. But then I also have to have that feeling part, which is actually where I want to start with. What's my feeling? Once I get a feeling, then I get an understanding and then I move into action. How do you work with that, Tom? Well, for me, my...
when I'm really working with my clear direction, comes from within. you know, that's not to say that sometimes people give me outer direction. And I'm in a situation, say, as I'm a young person, and I'm or I'm on the job, or, you know, let's say you were in the service or the Marine Corps or something, you know, people are going to give you outer direction. But, you know, as long as I can maintain a feeling for it, you know, I chose to be there, I chose to
come into this planet, I chose that family. And, ⁓ you know, I choose to get educated. So there's times where I choose to work, you know, for a living and so I can have the abundance that I need to enjoy my life. So but as long as I come back to the feeling of why I'm there, then ⁓ it's easy to move with some of that outer direction. But sometimes, you know, that outer direction doesn't feel right. And it's important that I share that, you know, it's important that I discern what am I picking up?
And that's why I think ⁓ exploring who you really are, that self discovery of, know, that inner wisdom that I have as a soul, that ⁓ inner guidance that I can get from my spiritual helpers can help me navigate, you know, better my feeling so that I'm in balance, feel, think, act, feel, think, act. So what strikes me is maybe we should talk about
you know, the semi-intellectual and the out of balance feeling a bit more. the out of balance feeling is a person that has a lot of feeling for life, but they don't have much organization or they leave out the facts. And we need both parts. You know, we live in a, in a real world, you might say, because there's feelings and then there's facts, there's procedures, there's...
organization that we need to follow to channel our feelings to be successful. So when someone doesn't have the facts, they may find that they're doing a lot for others, but they seem to leave themselves out, you know, so they're, they're able to get a lot of outer direction all the time, because they have a lot of feeling for things. But then you can always recognize this, this you might feel like kind of exhausted. And what did I do for myself and
You know, I seem to make everybody else happy, but I'm not accomplishing what I would like to accomplish. And, you know, it's not all about me first, me second, me third. you know, if I start, it does start with us, it does start with me. And then, you know, I work with other folks. So the semi intellectual is the person that hasn't really developed their feelings, you know, or their unconscious mind, their
And so they have that prove it to me attitude, you doesn't exist unless you can prove it to me. So they may be able to, ⁓ you know, design a ship to travel to the moon or the or Mars or something. But when it comes to, for example, communicating with their family or ⁓ knowing how to respond to, you know, to situations, you know, they tend to sit on the fence. the big part of that that becomes an issue is that they ⁓
They have trouble, they wait for the big opportunity to come by and not make a decision. So they blow their timing from when they feel it. So they also use everything as an escape. That becomes the oholic kind of vibration, like the golf-oholic or work-oholic or alcoholic, always looking for a system to feel ⁓ secure, trying to put everything into a system. So ⁓ they don't need to reduce
their thinking power or their intellect so much is just help allow those feelings to come forward. But again, those feelings are different than emotions. Emotions are like reactions. And some of those reactions keep us alive, as I said before, and some of them are learned. our emotions do express how we feel. emotions almost fit more in the action part of the feel, organize, act.
And that's how I see it anyways. And, and yet we sort of focus on the emotions rather than well, what are your true feelings? So it's, it's good to express one's emotions or my emotions. It's the main thing is, is not to get caught between my intellect and my reactions, know, intellect reactions, but to find a way to come back to my true feelings. So for myself, I would say that from
how I engage my true feelings is say like when I go to work, you know, how do I feel when I go there? I, the word I have is fulfilled. I feel fulfilled when I'm in my workplace because I know what I'm there to do. I'm, I'm, you know, in action doing it and I feel that I'm a support. So it feels very fulfilling. And then I'll say to like in this podcast for, know, I feel enthusiastic when I've done this podcast and it's been,
going into now the sixth year of feeling enthusiasm for what I'm doing in different variations. I mean, you know, it's, ⁓ you know, we've done interviews and done solos and et cetera, but I, I feel that feeling of enthusiasm. And I guess what I want to share about some of the people that I know that, you know, questioned what is the difference between the intellect and the true feelings and your emotions. I feel oftentimes that there's so much information out there and
bringing forth spiritual information sometimes is more is from the intellect. So it may get a little skewed or it may get a little like questioning like what what is that and why is it work this way or how does it work because it doesn't truly start with that feeling part. How do you feel about that Tom? Well my intellect you know can if I know I'm in my intellect when I kind of play those mental gymnastics back and forth and I get caught in rights and wrongs and
shoulds and shouldn'ts. You know, it's always important to improve my service and to follow a better procedure or more streamlined procedure and, you know, get the facts on how to be of service. Cause my feeling part wants to be involved. It wants to be, I want, grow through evolution. I evolve through service and, ⁓ you know, self-awareness. And I guess the big, you know,
we offer those courses and workshops to help people begin to discover for themselves, you know, what's the difference between their true feelings and their emotions. And for me, that's been the journey of self discovery. It's like some of those concepts I picked up from my parents and those emotional reactions work for me. And some of them, you know, it's time to probably let go of. So like, you know, feeling over concerned about a loved one.
know, that we may have been taught that we're supposed to think about them. We're supposed to, you know, there's a subtle pressure. You might not even articulate that thought real clearly in your mind, but it's like, I'm supposed to be concerned. I'm supposed to worry about what they're doing. When really, that's just a learned pattern. If you tune into your true feelings, I know when I turn to an end of my true feelings, and I have to remind myself because I find society reinforces concepts like that, you know,
But if I tune into my true feelings, you know, I realized like everybody's on their own journey. Everybody's on a journey of self discovery and involvement. Everybody's got their own spiritual helpers, you know, and I can be of service to that person, but really I don't have to worry about anybody. ⁓ That's not to say I won't have opportunities to be of service or give them a leg up or something like that. But it's really important that I work with my feelings to know where I begin and end with it and recheck with my guidance.
Yeah, and I guess the word that's coming to me also from spirit is that it's simplicity. So that's one of the key things that I've noticed the last few years for myself. And I've done a ton of different classes. And especially when I was a massage therapist doing all kinds of energy classes and, and spiritual classes too. But in recognizing that it's really simple, like we overthink things like it's
You know now of course it depends on where a person's at in their level of consciousness, right? So what you know where what have they put together for themselves? But but honestly like you know in recognizing that Again, we have a you know a team of spiritual helpers that backs us that you know our angels guides whatever you want to call it and And you know that we are a soul in a physical body and that you know We're here to learn and grow and all these things that are real simple
Concepts but sometimes are made into an intellectual way So I think sometimes it's really hard or more challenging for people to grasp a hold of a simpler concept than it is a more challenging concept Does that make sense that makes sense? I mean I I we certainly see evidence of that all around us, but ⁓ You know for me self-awareness I can share about you know, what strikes me and what guidance is reminding me of is that
you know, I can share about the three states of consciousness, balanced, semi intellectual, out of balance feeling. And, but until a person sits down and reflects with their guidance and works with some techniques to kind of reawaken their true feelings and become more aware of them because they exist, it's just becoming more aware of them. That's how I found out how I did it.
myself, you know, and it's only when I have the aha moments that I really begin to, you know, change. If I, I noticed my tendency would be to overanalyze, you know, I'm well educated, I've often said that, and I was raised in a household where my father's very intellectual and has a good intellect. My mom was probably more out of balance feeling.
And it's always interesting how those people attract each other, you know, to sort of balance out. But I have to do the inner work, you know, I have to do my own spiritual work. And all I can do, you know, and other people have to do that for their involvement. But all I can do is just share my perspective. And by doing that, when I share my perspective, when I go through some techniques, when I regroup with my guidance, like, you know, when was the last time I got caught in my intellect?
you know, how did I do that? How did I get out of it? You know, I start to realize, ⁓ you know, what works for me. If I share, if you share, we were doing something this morning, we were both talking and Teresa shared something and I went, ⁓ and then I said, well, here's how I do that. And really, I realized that, you know, you, you, you finally went, ⁓ I can, I get it. I understand how I go through this pattern. Now I can,
I can, I've got the solution for this. So until a person does that for themselves, you know, the, you might say, I don't know, I'll throw this out there. It's like they fake progress because it's easy to copy a prototype or somebody you admire and just do what they do, say what they say. Even as you know, older adults in a sophisticated way, people can do that.
And you can get by in society, you know, just being in your head. The trouble is you should leave out the fulfillment and the feeling of accomplishment. And you may find that after all those years, you've ended up in the wrong place. It wasn't what you really came to do. The good news is that any time you can start to regroup and begin to get more in balance so that as you move out, you know, you'll be in more of a balanced state of consciousness. Cause when you pass on,
you end up whatever your state of consciousness is, that's what you end up on the other side. Yeah. And I guess for myself, I really before was moving more from my feeling and I left out the intellectual part, the organization part. And that's what I'm currently working on right now is organizing myself. So that way when, when I have that feeling, I can organize it and then I can act in a whole different way because I grew up with in a house that was, ⁓
I don't know what my dad was, mom was prophetic, but her first gift was prophecy. So, you know, I think my dad was probably a visionary feeler or something like that. So he was more, you know, flowy. And so for myself, being someone that's my first gift is the intuitive gift or being clairaudient. And so I'm, you know, I'm really worked more with just getting the facts. And some of you that have been out and have gone to our classes, our intuition out classes, you might have heard these four.
perceptions, psychic perceptions that we share and how to work with them for yourself. And that's what I hear you saying, Tom. And that's one thing that I really like to emphasize to people is that in the midst of hearing other people's experiences, in the midst of hearing other people's insights or maybe the spiritual truths about something, it's really up to you to go out and have life experiences.
And then when you have life experiences, finding a group or a community to come back to, to regroup and to have like-minded souls come together to be able to go, ⁓ you you get what I'm saying and you get what I'm saying. And I think that's one of the real key areas around the last few years, especially during the COVID times is we need to come together in, in a, know, in a community. we, have that ability to understand one another and to learn and grow from one another. Yeah, I was going to, you know,
summarize like, you know, when I'm in balance, things flow smoothly, they seem to fall into place. I'm, I have a feeling for what I want to do, I feel like I'm in the right place at the right time. And, doors open and things just like clockwork for the most part, I'm sure we can all remember a time when that happened for us. When I'm in the out of balance, intellect or semi intellectual.
A short way for me to put this is to say, I just overthink things. And so I can tend to blow my timing on that feeling or that hunch that I picked up. I'm over analyzing. I wait too long to move into action. And then if I'm out of balance in my feeling part, I might find myself feeling like I'm spinning in circles, you know, that I do a lot, but I'm not really moving forward.
with what I came to do. Well said, you know, something else you want to say? Yeah, and I totally agree that, you know, it's when I share with other people the way that I, through my self discovery, that the penny drops, I have the aha moments, because everyone does it a little different, or at least, you know, perceives it from a different angle. So the way Teresa gets caught in out of balance feeling
I may relate to or I may not relate to, but ⁓ when she shares, can kind of get an aspect of that for myself. And then when you work with your guidance, you learn what to replace those old habits with. Because once I have that ⁓ clarity of purpose, or I have the picture, for me, I'm a visionary, once I get that picture or I have that understanding, if you're an intuitive,
I have a real feeling for it now that I've worked with my guidance or that inner knowing in my, you know, my prophetic gift. It's a lot easier to change and start moving more smoothly and more in balance. Yeah. So, ⁓ that's a good place, I think, to wind this up. And I want to say thanks to those out there who have recently commented and asked us a bit about, know, these, these different levels of consciousness and the different,
Yes, states that you know the states that we move through and so we hope that maybe gave you a little more insight and we hope down the road to offer some other classes and workshops in regards to these specific areas and how to work with them for yourself. Sounds good. Okay, so thanks again for watching into the sixth year of enthusiastically spiritual. It's been an amazing, I'll say fulfilled and enthusiastic six years coming into six years. So
